Pappinbarra Progress Association Emergency Planning Group

The Pappinbarra Progress Association Emergency Planning Group (EPG) is a sub-group of the Pappinbarra Progress Association that is responsible for developing and implementing emergency plans for the Pappinbarra Valley. The EPG is made up of volunteers from the Pappinbarra community, who are also volunteers for the RFS and other associations.

The EPG's primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a Bushfire Survival Plan for the Pappinbarra Valley. The Bushfire Survival Plan outlines what residents should do in the event of a bushfire, including how to prepare their homes and properties, how to evacuate safely, and where to go for help and assistance.

The EPG also works to raise awareness of bushfire risk and preparedness in the Pappinbarra community. This includes organising community meetings and events, distributing educational materials, and working with local schools and businesses.

In addition to bushfire preparedness, the EPG also develops plans for other types of emergencies, such as floods, storms, and power outages. The EPG also works with the NSW RFS and SES to coordinate emergency response activities in the Pappinbarra Valley.

The Pappinbarra Progress Association Emergency Planning Group is a valuable asset to the Pappinbarra community. It plays a vital role in helping residents prepare for and respond to bushfires and emergencies in the valley.

The Pappinbarra Progress Association Emergency Planning Group is a volunteer-based organisation, and its members are passionate about helping their community. The EPG's work is essential for keeping the Pappinbarra Valley safe and prepared for emergencies.
